FAQs
We look forward to hearing from you!
How long does a website take to build?
Most Mammoth Design websites go live in 4 to 6 weeks. Single-page starter sites can be ready in 1 to 2 weeks, while larger builds with e-commerce or custom features typically run 6 to 8 weeks.
The honest answer is that timelines depend as much on you as it does on us. Projects move fastest when feedback is quick, and content is ready at kickoff. We make that easy by walking you through exactly what we need before work begins.
Either way, you will always have a clear timeline from day one.
How much does a website cost?
Most Mammoth Design websites start at $3,499 for a professional multi-page site. Single-page starter sites begin at $1,200, and e-commerce builds on Shopify start at $6,499.
The price depends on how many pages you need, what features you want, and how much content we are creating together. We will give you a clear, itemized quote before any work begins. No surprises.
What we can promise: you will always get more value than you pay for.
What do you need from me to get started?
Through a video call or in-person meeting, we will ask about your business, your goals, and what you want your website to do for you.
From there, we handle the heavy lifting. As the project gets going, we will ask for a few things: your logo, some photos of your business, and any specific content you want on the site. If you don’t have everything ready, that’s okay! We will work with you to gather content for a comprehensive, polished website
The goal is to make this as easy as possible on your end so you can stay focused on running your business.
Can I update my website myself after launch?
Yes, and we make sure of it. Before your site goes live, we walk you through a training session so you can make simple updates on your own: swap a photo, edit your hours, add a new service. No technical experience needed.
Your site will be built on WordPress or Shopify, two of the most user-friendly platforms in the world. If you ever get stuck, we are just a message away.
I already have a website. Can you improve it?
Absolutely. In fact, most of our projects are redesigns. Whether your site is outdated, hard to navigate, not showing up on Google, or just does not reflect the quality of your business anymore, we can fix it.
We work with sites built on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, and more. We will assess what is worth keeping, what needs work, and give you an honest recommendation before any work begins.
A lot of our best client relationships started with a site that just needed some love.
What is local SEO and do I need it?
Local SEO is how your business shows up when someone nearby searches for what you offer. Think “web designer Anchorage” or “electrician near me.” If your business serves a local area, local SEO is one of the highest-return investments you can make online.
A well-optimized website, a complete Google Business Profile, and consistent business information across the web all work together to move you up in local search results. More visibility means more calls, more clicks, and more customers walking through your door.
If your competitors are showing up on Google and you are not, local SEO is why.
What happens after my website goes live?
Launch day is just the beginning. Once your site is live, you will want to keep it secure, up to date, and performing well over time. That is where our ongoing support plans come in.
Our Foundation plan covers the essentials: managed hosting, daily backups, security monitoring, and priority support starting at $149 per month. For businesses that want to grow, our Momentum and Expansion plans add SEO reporting, content updates, social media management, and more.
Not ready for a plan right away? No problem. We offer one-off support whenever you need it. Either way, we are not the kind of team that launches your site and disappears.
Do you require long-term contracts?
All of our support plans are billed quarterly with no long-term lock-in, no cancellation fees, and no fine print. You stay because the work is valuable to your business, not because you are stuck.
Project work like new website builds is structured simply: 50% at kickoff, 50% at launch. That is it.
We believe the best client relationships are built on trust and results not paperwork.
